Ukraine could launch domestic flights in June
"I know only that my colleague Kryklii [Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii] announced that he plans to do this [launch flights] in June. But this is a best-case scenario," Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleh Nemchinov said in an interview with PravdaTUT Lviv TV channel, answering about the specific date of launch of air transportation in Ukraine.
The official noted that the launch of flights would also depend on how the issue of international air services is settled at the interstate level. "Domestic transportation is not a problem," the minister said.
As a reminder, railway, aviation, and bus intercity and interregional passenger transportation services have been suspended in Ukraine since March 18. The emergency situation regime has been in effect throughout the country since March 25.
Today, on May 4, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended quarantine until May 22 but eased some measures.
