Truskavets receives 40,000 medical masks from China

Mayor of Truskavets Andriy Kulchynsky wrote about this on his Facebook page on April 17.

“A humanitarian aid arrived in Truskavets from our Chinese sister town of Lianzhou. We received 40,000 medical face masks. We are grateful to our Chinese friends and the Ukrainian-Chinese organization LanHua (chairman Yuriy Kotyk). We are the first city in Ukraine to receive such assistance,” the mayor wrote.

He also noted that over the past two days disinfection works had been carried out in the town.

According to the Public Health Center of the Ukrainian Health Ministry, 4,662 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ukraine as of 09:00 on April 17. A total of 125 people died from complications related to the disease, and 246 recovered. Some 501 new cases were recorded in Ukraine over the past 24 hours.

In Lviv region, 203 coronavirus cases were confirmed.
