Nineteen people contract coronavirus at Kyiv Theological Academy

Nineteen people have contracted coronavirus at the Kyiv Theological Academy and the seminary of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, the Academy's press service has said on Facebook.
"On April 16, at 21:00, the Academy received a phone message from the Kyiv city laboratory center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine that according to the tests, 19 people (three teachers and 16 students) received the laboratory confirmation of coronavirus disease," the statement reads.
It notes that the written confirmation of this information is expected on April 17. All 19 people are currently in self-isolation at the Academy's dormitory under medical supervision.
According to the Ministry of Health, 4,662 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ukraine as of 09:00 on April 17. A total of 125 people died of the disease, and 246 recovered. A total of 501 new cases have been recorded in Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
