Ukraine reports 270 new cases of coronavirus, bringing total to 3,372

Ukraine has reported 270 new cases of Covid-19 over the past day, bringing the total number to 3,372, according to the Public Health Centre.

"A total of 3,372 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed. Some 35,153 PCR tests have been conducted in Ukraine,” the Public Health Centre wrote on Facebook.

In addition, 98 people have died from complications related to Covid-19, including 51 men and 47 women. Among those deceased were mostly people over the age of 50 (86%).

In particular, coronavirus cases in Ukraine were confirmed in:

Vinnytsia region – 200 cases (8 cases of recovery);

Volyn region – 80 cases (3 cases of recovery);

Dnipropetrovsk region – 71 cases (8 cases of recovery);

Donetsk region – 12 cases (1 case of recovery);

Zhytomyr region – 112 cases;

Zakarpattia region – 99 cases (12 cases of recovery);

Zaporizhzhia region – 89 cases (11 cases of recovery);

Ivano-Frankivsk region – 332 cases (16 cases of recovery);

Kirovohrad region – 144 cases;

Kyiv city – 551 cases;

Kyiv region – 224 cases (11 cases of recovery);

Lviv region – 136 cases (6 cases of recovery);

Luhansk region – 3 cases;

Mykolaiv region – 5 cases;

Odesa region – 69 cases;

Poltava region – 26 cases;

Rivne region – 134 cases (8 cases of recovery);

Sumy region – 74 cases (2 cases of recovery);

Kharkiv region – 14 cases;

Kherson region – 34 cases;

Ternopil region – 280 cases (8 cases of recovery);

Khmelnytskyi region – 22 cases (3 cases of recovery);

Cherkasy region – 105 cases (1 case of recovery);

Chernivtsi region – 456 cases (21 cases of recovery);

Chernihiv region – 10 cases.

Some 1,907 patients are undergoing treatment at home under doctors’ supervision, 1,248 people have been hospitalized, including 52 children.

At the same time, 119 people in Ukraine have already recovered - a repeated laboratory test has found no virus.
