About 11,500 Ukrainians await evacuation – Kuleba

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said this during an online briefing on March 30, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The number of Ukrainian citizens who are awaiting evacuation from around the world totals 11,449 people,” Kuleba said.

He added that their number is changing, because someone is returning home, while someone decides to evacuate and applies to the embassies and consulates of Ukraine abroad.

In this regard, the minister urged citizens of Ukraine who have the means to live in a country where they are located to stay there in order not to be at risk of infection during the trip.

At the same time, Kuleba assured that diplomats are in contact with those Ukrainians who want to be evacuated and are constantly looking for opportunities to return them home.
