The number of female employees in the structural divisions of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry has grown over the past two years, according to Deputy Interior Minister Tetiana Kovalchuk.

"Over the last two years of [gender] policy implementation, there is a rather interesting and, in my opinion, positive trend - an increase in the percentage of women:  a 5% growth in the State Emergency Service, a 2% growth in the National Police, and a 7% growth in the National Guard,” Kovalchuk said at a press conference on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to her, the increase was also observed in the number of women in leadership positions, in particular, by more than 4% in the National Police, by 0.5 % in the State Migration Service, and by 3.5% in the National Guard.
