Ukraine participated for the first time in the International Charity Bazaar 2019 in the Republic of the Philippines.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Malaysia wrote this on its Facebook page.

The International Charity Bazaar, organized for the 53rd year in a row, is traditionally held in cooperation with the Philippines' Department of Foreign Affairs, representatives of diplomatic and consular institutions in the republic and the spouses of heads of accredited foreign missions in the republic.

Ukraine represented honey, chocolate, folk art items, Petrikivka paintings etc.

“Sohom Charity Bazaar has opened its doors and once again invited Malaysian residents and visitors to visit the hospitality of 47 countries. This year the event was especially important for the Ukrainians, as the wife of Ukrainian Ambassador to Malaysia, Mrs.Triana Nechytaylo, is the president of the SOHOM association,” reads the report posted by the Ukrainian Cultural Association on Facebook.

It is noted that the Princess of Perlis (Malaysia) was the guest of honor. The princess visited all the stands, including the Ukrainian one. She tasted Ukrainian sweets and even bought some Ukrainian souvenirs.
