President's wife Olena Zelenska met with Ukrainian soldiers who undergo rehabilitation in the Queen Astrid Military Hospital in Brussels.

Major Dmytro Kucheria, Junior Sergeant Yevheniy Pasichnyk, and Private First Class Anton Matvieychuk are treated currently in this hospital. The servicemen received gunshot wounds in Donetsk and Luhansk regions at the end of 2017 — begging of 2018.

As the press service of the Head of State reports, Olena Zelenska handed the postcards signed by her and her husband to the soldiers and asked the defenders about their health, the course of rehabilitation and the help they need.

Olena Zelenska, accompanied by Director of the hospital Colonel Wouter Weuts, got acquainted with the premises and noted the importance of improving the level of rehabilitation of the military in Ukraine to the standards of foreign institutions.

Last year, four Ukrainians underwent rehabilitation in the Queen Astrid Military Hospital. A total of five soldiers are expected to stay there this year. The rehabilitation and stay of Ukrainian defenders are financed by the Belgian side. In return, local doctors gain experience in healing gunshot wounds.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky makes his first foreign visit to Brussels on June 4-5.
