Forum of Regions of Ukraine and Belarus to be held in Zhytomyr in autumn

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Belarus reported this on its Facebook page.

In particular, during the session of the Belarusian-Ukrainian working group on interregional and cross-border cooperation in Zhytomyr on April 25, the parties discussed the state of preparations for the 2nd Forum of Regions of Ukraine and Belarus, which will take place in Zhytomyr in October 2019. The Ukrainian side presented the general concept of the event and considered some aspects of its holding.

Also, representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) held a presentation of the Ukraine-Belarus territorial cooperation program of the Eastern Partnership initiative.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a protocol defining specific tasks within the framework of the working group’s activities. The next meeting is scheduled for 2020.

As reported, on October 25-26, 2018, the 1st Forum of Regions of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus was held in Gomel (Republic of Belarus).
