Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina have signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the tourism sector, according to the Ukrainian Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons.

"In line with the signed agreement, the parties agreed to promote cooperation in the tourism sector, namely: to organize bilateral tourism exchanges, establish direct contacts between authorities, tour operators, other companies and organizations operating in the tourism sector, take measures for the safety of tourists, exchange experience and statistical information, develop tourism infrastructure and facilities, as well as promote investment in the tourism sectors of Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the report says.

The intergovernmental agreement on tourism cooperation was signed in Kyiv on March 14 as part of a meeting between Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine Vadym Chernysh and Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mato Franjicevic.

During the meeting, Chernysh noted that entrepreneurs of Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina should be encouraged to explore the territories and traditions of both countries to develop tourism business.

In addition, the Ukrainian side proposed that joint ventures and sales markets be established. “Considering common pro-European aspirations of Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the geographical position of our countries, the development of common sales markets can become a new successful stage of trade and economic relations,” Chernysh said.
