Reva: Automatic pension indexation to begin on March 1

From March 1, the automatic pension indexation will be carried out for more than 10 million retired persons, an average increase in payment will total UAH 255.

Social Policy Minister Andriy Reva stated this during a government meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"During the annual indexation from March 1, 2019, pension payments will be automatically transferred to 10.2 million retired persons. An average increase will total UAH 255," he said.

At the same time, the minister stressed that this figure is not the same for everyone, it will be differentiated, but minimum growth will be at least UAH 100.

In addition, Reva recalled that 1.9 million retired persons with minimum and below minimum pensions, who have full insurance experience, will receive compensation for the unpaid pension indexing in the amount of UAH 2,410. According to him, these payments will be made in two equal tranches in March and April.
