The visit of U.S. guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook to Odesa symbolizes the strength of the partnership between Ukraine and the United States, according to U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.
"We warmly welcome the USS Donald Cook to Odesa. This ship visit symbolizes the strength of the U.S.-Ukraine partnership," the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv quoted Yovanovitch as saying on its Twitter page.
Ukrinform reported earlier that the USS Donald Cook, which entered the Black Sea last week to conduct joint exercises with Ukraine and other allies, had arrived at the port of Odesa.
