"I have met with activists and human rights defenders who actively support our guys in Russian captivity. The relatives of Ukrainian sailors were present during the communication. They wanted to hear in person that even in Russia there are people who are ready to listen and help," Denisova wrote.
She noted activists had told her and the sailors' relatives that "they collected more than half a million rubles that were used to buy clothes, food and basic necessities for the prisoners of war."
Human rights activists stage pickets, pass letters and parcels from the sailors' relatives. Parents thanked activists and human rights defenders for their help and support.
"The world should know about Ukrainian prisoners of war, and we will make every effort to return them home!" Denisova said.
