Expert names most popular tourist destinations of Ukrainians for winter holidays

Director of the Tourism Development Center Volodymyr Tsaruk told this to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The top three countries where Ukrainians travel most often during the New Year holidays are Egypt, Poland and Slovakia. Among the popular exotic countries, Ukrainians travel to the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates. As to the ski resorts, they travel to Austria, Finland, Turkey,” he said.

Tsaruk also added that Ukrainians within the country travel most often to Zakarpattia, Bukovel, Lviv and Odesa.

In addition, the largest number of foreign tourists comes to Ukraine for the New Year holidays from Poland, Belarus, and Turkey, the expert said.
