Government approves Military Medical Doctrine of Ukraine
"The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Military Medical Doctrine of Ukraine on October 31 by its decree... The decision of the Government will allow uniting the military and civilian health care efforts on the basis of a single medical space in order to improve the medical support for the servicepersons, who today defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state," the Government portal reports.
Pursuant to the doctrine, the state shall ensure the production and supply of the necessary domestic medical equipment, medicines and prophylactic remedies, the creation and maintenance of the strategic reserve in accordance with the approved nomenclature for the needs of medical services and civilian health care.
In addition, the document will allow introducing the international standards, principles and policies for the medical support in NATO troops, taking into account their requirements in the national legislation on the health care of military personnel.
