As the Embassy of Ukraine in Denmark reports, the Ukrainian diplomats and the members of Ukrainian organizations held the commemorative events to honor the victims of those tragic events.
In particular, during the action "Light a candle of remembrance!", which took place in the city of Randers, the names of 85 children from Dnipropetrovsk region, who had been starved to death, were read out. The participants in the event, including the children from the Ukrainian schools in Denmark, held a commemorative march.
In addition, the photo exhibition "Holodomor of 1932-33 in Ukraine" was opened in a cultural center in Randers. Screenings of thematic films and discussions were held.
As the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Sweden reports, a liturgy and a memorial service for the Holodomor victims with the participation of the members of Ukrainian communities took place in the church Lidingö kyrka in Stockholm.
During the event, which was held at the initiative of the Ukrainian Women's Organization in Sweden, the names of 85 children, who had been starved to death during the Holodomor, were recalled.
As noted, more events will be held to commemorate the victims of Holodomor - the genocide of the Ukrainian people - in Sweden in November.
On September 1, 85 days before the Holodomor remembrance day, Ukraine and the world began to honor the victims who died during the genocide of 1932-1933.
