State Statistics: Number of staff employees decreasing in Ukraine

In September 2018, the overall number of staff employees in Ukraine totaled 7.61 million, which is the same as in the previous month and 1% less than in January 2018, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
The largest number of staff employees in September 2018 was registered in industry (1,833 million people, 2% less than in January 2018), education (1.342 million people, 3% less), health care and social assistance (914.5 thousand people, 2.5% less).
As reported, according to the State Statistics Service, the number of staff employees in Ukraine is decreasing from 2012, in particular: there were 7.679 million staff employees in 2017, which is 2.4% less than in 2016, and 24.1% less than in 2012.
