Switzerland, France, Luxembourg commemorate Holodomor victims. Photos
As the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland reports, a joint Ukrainian-Swiss liturgy was performed in the Holy Trinity Church in Bern on October 14.
The memorial event was attended by ambassadors of Georgia, Poland, Slovakia and the USA accredited in Switzerland, representatives of Ukrainian community and residents of the country.
The same day, the action “Light a candle of remembrance” also took place in the Sacred Heart Church in Lausanne.
According to the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in France, Paris also joined the international action to commemorate Holodomor victims on October 14.
In particular, Ukrainian Ambassador to France Oleh Shamshur, members of Ukrainian community of France, representatives of the Council of Paris and not indifferent citizens of the French capital attended the memorial service for Holodomor victims in the Cathédrale Saint-Volodymyr le Grand.
The candles of remembrance were lit and names of children - Holodomor victims were read out within the framework of the action.
On October 15, Luxembourg also joined the international action to commemorate Holodomor victims, the Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium reported on Facebook.
In particular, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin attended the memorial event during his visit to the country.
