SAPO chief refuses to comment on U.S. embassy tweet on his reputation
Kholodnytsky said in an interview with the Novoye Vremya media outlet that he would resign after the termination of his term of office or when he himself wants to do so.
"I will resign in two cases: when my term of office expires or when I make that decision on my own," he said.
Kholodnytsky refused to comment on a U.S. Embassy tweet stating that "in a modern democracy, prosecutors who engage in witness tampering and obstruction of justice resign for the sake of the institution and in support of rule of law principles."
"I cannot comment on the tweets of diplomatic institutions. And I will not discuss some issues, particularly the issue of Ukraine's domestic existence, with foreigners," he added.
As reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) prepared a lawsuit to the administrative court to appeal against the decision of the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Prosecutors to issue a reprimand to SAPO Chief Nazar Kholodnytsky.
