Social Policy Ministry: Over 167,000 families receive financial assistance for living expenses

A total of 167,299 families of internally displaces persons (IDPs) receive monthly targeted financial assistance for living expenses, including for housing and utilities payments.
Yevhen Kryvosheya, a representative of the Social Policy Ministry’s department for social protection of persons affected by emergency situations, stated this at the forum "Internally Displaced Persons and the Right of Choice in Ukraine" on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"167,299 families receive monthly targeted assistance for living expenses, including for housing and utilities payments," Kryvosheya said.
He also added that according to the Unified Information Database of Internally Displaced Persons, 1,516,246 internally displaced persons have been registered in Ukraine, including 235,498 children, 424,480 able-bodied persons, 41,350 persons with disabilities and 794,304 retired persons.
