Kyiv hopes to welcome 2 million more tourists this year

The Kyiv authorities expect 5.8 million tourists to visit the city in 2018, almost 50% up than last year.

"This year we expect about 6 million tourists to visit Kyiv - 1.8 million foreign and 4 million domestic – 46% up than last year! I'm glad to say that the number of our city's guests is growing annually," Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksiy Reznikov said.

He recalled that 4.1 million tourists – about 1.6 million foreign and more than 2.5 million domestic – had visited the capital of Ukraine last year.

As noted, the tourist tax revenues for five months of this year increased by 27% compared to the same period in 2017 and totaled UAH 13.428 million.
