Belgium for the first times offers the Ukrainian servicemen, who were wounded in the armed confrontation with Russia, to undergo treatment and rehabilitation.

The first three soldiers have arrived in the Queen Astrid Military Hospital in Brussels on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"This is the first experience in this field in our bilateral relations with Belgium. I am confident that many other steps will follow this first one. The Belgian side covers all the expenses," said Major-General Mykola Bulhakov, the military attaché of the Ukrainian Embassy in Belgium.

According to the diplomat, three Ukrainian servicemen will undergo treatment and rehabilitation in the Brussels military hospital for up to six weeks. Two more wounded Ukrainian soldiers are expected to arrive in Belgium before the end of the year.
