"We are happy that Kyiv is becoming more popular in the international arena. I should note that the city budget receives more revenues as the tourist flow grows. In 2017, the tourist tax amounted to UAH 25 million. This is a very good index, given that this figure amounted to UAH 18.8 million in 2016. In other words, the profits grew by a quarter," Chairman of the Kyiv City Council’s standing commission for budget issues Andriy Strannikov said.
According to him, last year the city was visited by 850 thousand domestic tourists compared with 720 thousand in 2016.
The city authorities will not stop on the achieved results and they plan to make Kyiv even more attractive for tourists.
