January 22, the Ukrainian community of Riga, Latvian and Belarusian activists joined the worldwide protest against the Russian aggression "Stop Putin's War in Ukraine – Boycott."
The rally was held opposite the Russian Embassy in Latvia and lasted an hour, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
About 50 people participated in the rally, demanding to boycott the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which is to be held in the country aggressor Russia. About half of the posters were devoted to this topic. Some activists held the posters reading "United Ukraine", "Stop Putin – Stop War", "Let My People Go!"
The Congress of Ukrainians in Latvia was the main coordinator and organizer of the action "Stop Putin’s War in Ukraine – Boycott" in Riga.
