Government permits National Guard to use water cannons

The Cabinet of Ministers has allowed the National Guard to use water cannons, but only at temperatures not lower than 10 degrees Celsius.
A respective decision was made at a government meeting on December 20, according to Hromadske.
National Guard servicemen were also allowed to use in the crowd electroshock weapons, handcuffs (not more than for two hours), stun and smoke grenades, guns for shooting rubber bullets, and police dogs.
At the same time, before using special means, the National Guard is obliged to warn the offenders not less than two times through the loudspeaker. After application, medical assistance should be provided to the victims as soon as possible.
