Vinnytsia region receives first humanitarian aid from Kharkiv region

Vinnytsia region has received the first humanitarian cargo from Kharkiv region for the population from the area affected by the explosions of ammunition at the military depots near Kalynivka.

First Deputy Chairman of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration Andriy Hyzhko announced this at the session of the regional council.

"We received the first aid from Kharkiv region, we are grateful to them for 15 tons of food," Hyzhko said.

According to him, Kharkiv and Zhytomyr regions agreed to deliver to Vinnytsia region construction materials for the beginning of reconstruction works.

As reported, a fire broke out at ammunition depots in Kalynivka on September 26, which subsequently led to artillery shells exploding. About 30,000 people were evacuated from the zone of possible danger.
