Thirty Ukrainian films came out in 2016 – Independent Motion Picture Guild of Ukraine

Ukrainian cinema production is confidently filling its niche as 30 domestic films came out in 2016, showing 50% increase as compared to 2013.
Artistic director of the Independent Motion Picture Guild of Ukraine Wilhelmina Mettel said this at the press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Ukrainian cinema production is developing confidently and filling its niche. For example, only 12 domestic films came out in Ukraine in 2013. It’s a very small number. There were 16 such films in 2014 and 24 films in 2015. In 2016, as many as 30 domestic films came out in Ukraine. This is a great progress," Mettel said.
She added that the first Ukrainian full-length scifi thriller "Thinkers" would come out on April 7.
