Funding for scientific research in Ukraine grows by 40%

In 2017, funding for scientific research and developments of research institutions has increased by almost 40% – from UAH 366.6 million up to UAH 507.4 million.
This is reported by the press service of the Education and Science Ministry of Ukraine.
"Currently, the research and developments in the institutions are funded through a transparent competitive selection, allowing to choose the best projects and the best teams that are able to implement them. Last year, 132 educational establishments took part in the competition and submitted 834 projects. The experts selected 511 projects, which will be funded this year," Education and Science Minister of Ukraine Liliya Hrynevych said.
