Mechnikov Clinical Hospital in Dnipro saved 99.4% of wounded soldiers last year

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this during his visit to the medical institution, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"The figure that surprised me is 99.4%. This is a number of saved wounded soldiers in the regional hospital in 2016. This tells about the quality of your work. And I thank each of you for this quality, for your fantastic hands and hearts. Thank you very much," the President said.

In general, he said that 2,200 wounded soldiers were put on the legs, 40% of whom were in the intensive care unit.

During the visit to the hospital, the President has presented state awards to the servicemen, who are treated here, and the hospital workers.
