Solemn ceremony of presentation of first Arabic edition of Taras Shevchenko’s book held at Foreign Ministry of Ukraine

This has been reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

The event was opened by the Head of Department for Worldwide Ukrainians and ethno-confessional dialogue of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Larysa Dir and Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Ukraine Yousef Al-Qabandi.

The book, entitled "Taras Shevchenko. Selected literary and artistic works", includes articles of Kuwaiti and Ukrainian literary scholars Dr. Ali Al-Enezi and Prof. H.F.Semeniuk regarding life and creative works of the Great Kobzar, selected poetry and art paintings, play "Nazar Stodolya", comments on historical and cultural realities.

The book will not only acquaint readership of the Arab world closer with an outstanding figure of the famous son of the Ukrainian people and its creative output, but also lay a solid foundation for further development of cultural cooperation with the Middle East and North Africa states, including the sphere of publishing.
