Carpathian Mountains receive up to 20 cm of snow overnight

Snowfall reached the 20-cm mark in the Carpathian Mountains in the morning.
Verkhovyna rescue team told Ukrinform over the phone.
"The highest up to 20 cm snow level is reported in Chornahora. The other peaks of the Carpathians received a little less snow, up to 10 cm. Sleet fell overnight and in the morning," Verkhovyna rescue team reported.
The gravest concern for snowfall was expressed by people living in Yaremche, because there were fruit trees in full bloom. The fruit trees bloom later in the mountain regions, so there is still hope for the local people to save fruit in spite of spring blizzards.
