The first shipment of vaccines against measles, mumps and rubella purchased for Ukraine by UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) will be delivered on 13 April.

Deputy health minister Ihor Perehinets told a briefing on Friday, Ukrinform reports.

"The first shipment of vaccines against measles, mumps and rubella, UNICEF will deliver next Wednesday," said Perehinets.

Deputy minister noted that the process Ukraine is going through is unique, but the entire chain - from determining the vaccine list to purchasing via international organizations and delivery of medicines to patients has worked successfully.

While answering questions posed by the journalists as to other vaccines deliveries, including anti TB (BCG) vaccine and pertussis, diphtheria and tetanus (Tdap), Perehinets said that they would be delivered to Ukraine until the end of May.

He also noted that today in Ukraine two vaccines are being registered under the simplified procedure.
