Ukrainian lawmakers adopted the law on the reform of state and municipal printed media outlets.

260 MPs voted for the decision, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As stated in the adopted law, the document provides for a mechanism to reform the printed media founded by the state authorities, other state agencies and local self-government bodies. The reform of the printed media outlets and the editorial staffs is planned to be conducted in two stages: within one year upon the date of entry into force of this law, and within next two years.
