Ukrainian delegation in US must provide accurate information about Russian strikes – Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"The main task for the Ukrainian delegation is to present the full and accurate picture of what is happening and what Russian strikes are causing. Among the consequences of this terror is the discrediting of the diplomatic process: people lose faith in diplomacy, and Russian attacks constantly undermine even the limited opportunities for dialogue that existed before. The American side must understand this. Progress is also needed on the documents that have been in preparation," Zelensky emphasized.
He noted that the first reports on the results of meetings between the Ukrainian delegation and the American side are expected in the evening.
"Ukraine has never been and will never be a roadblock to peace, and it is now up to our partners to determine whether diplomacy moves forward. I thank everyone who stands with us, who stands with Ukraine," Zelensky stressed.
As reported, on January 17 the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, arrived in the United States for talks with American partners regarding the details of a peace agreement. A joint meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with Steven Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Daniel Driscoll is planned.
