The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“I held a bilateral meeting with my friend and friend of Ukraine, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin III. Thanked for the leadership that made it possible to unite 50 member countries of the Contact Group in the Ramstein format and attract unprecedented help from the entire free world,” Reznikov wrote.
Reznikov expressed hope for productive work with partners in order to consistently increase the capabilities of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
According to Reznikov, the goal remains the same: the liberation of Ukraine’s all territories within internationally recognized borders and the guarantee of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Additionally, Reznikov thanked Minister of Defence of the Netherlands Kajsa Ollongren and the people of the Netherlands for their support.
“The total value of the military aid provided by the Netherlands to Ukraine is about EUR 1 billion,” Reznikov noted.
A reminder that the ninth meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format is taking place in Brussels on February 14, 2023.
