Klimkin expresses condolences to families of Algeria plane crash victims

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the crash of a military aircraft in Algeria.

"I am shocked by a great number of people who died in Algeria military plane crash. I express my deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the victims," he wrote on Twitter.

At least 257 people were killed on Wednesday when a military plane crashed near the Algerian capital, Algiers, shortly after takeoff. State media reported that the Soviet-designed Il-76 plane was heading for Bechar in southwestern Algeria.
