Over 100 people fell ill with measles in Rivne region since year start

A total of 104 people have fallen ill with measles in Rivne region since the start of the year, the Health Ministry’s regional laboratory center reports.
“The highest sickness rate was recorded in the Bereznevsky and Koretsky districts and the city of Rivne. Almost 70% of those fallen ill with measles were unvaccinated or had no routine vaccination against measles," reads the report.
According to the regional laboratory center, the highest sickness rate is often observed among children aged 1- 4 years and 5- 9 years. Among the adults, the highest sickness rate is often observed among those aged 20-29 years (14% of all patients).
