Fire hazard remains high in Ukraine on August 17-18

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has issued a warning for critical fire weather conditions expected in some regions of Ukraine on August 17-18.

"On August 17-18, extreme (5 class) fire hazard is expected in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia regions and in some parts of Kherson, Mykolaiv, Sumy regions. In other regions (apart from Zakarpattia and Odesa regions, high (4 class) fire hazard is expected,” the State Emergency Service reported with a reference to the Ukrainian Meteorology Center.

Also, the State Emergency Service issued warning for Kyiv and Kyiv region, where high (4 class) fire hazard and in some parts extreme (5 class) fire hazard are expected.
