Two Ukrainian An-32P help Israel in extinguishing fires
“On November 27, two ‘Antonov' An-32P special firefighter planes of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service conducted patrolling near the city of Jerusalem. Also, the planes made two drops of water (totaling `16 tons) in mountain areas. The planes of the State Emergency Service continue extinguishing forest fires in the State of Israel,” reads a report.
A reminder that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the law on rendering humanitarian aid to the state of Israel. In particular, the president ordered the Ukrainian interior minister to send two AN-32s to help Israeli firefighters to extinguish fires near the city of Haifa.
On November 22, wildfires swept through central and northern parts of Israel. More than 75,000 people have been evacuated. Firefighting airplanes help firefighters to combat the fires.
