Sport-Ekspress in Ukraine newspaper reported the news.
"It's hard for me to report it, but I end my soccer career. The decision was not easy for me to make. My immediate family advised me on the matter and I also had a serious conversation with my manager," the athlete said.
As a background note, Voronin started playing soccer in Odesa but he never played for Ukrainian clubs. He played for such German teams as Mainz, Borussia (Monchengladbach), Cologne, Bayer Fortuna, Liverpool in England and Dynamo Moscow.
