Ukraine has dropped from 18th to 22nd place in the medal count standings after the ninth day of the 2012 Olympic Games in London, with two gold and five bronze medals.

KYIV, August 6 /UKRINFORM/. Ukraine has dropped from 18th to 22nd place in the medal count standings after the ninth day of the 2012 Olympic Games in London, with two gold and five bronze medals.

China returned to top of the table, with 30 gold, 17 silver and 14 bronze medals, while the United States is second (28, 14, 18). Britain is third (16, 11, 10), and South Korea is fourth (10, 4, 6). France is in fifth position (8, 8, 9), and Italy is sixth (6, 5, 3), UKRINFORM reported.

China (61), the United States (60) and Britain (37) won the largest number of medals at the 2012 Olympics. Ukraine is in 16th place with seven medals.
