Ukraine’s Air Force launches 15 strikes on Russian invaders

This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, June 5, published on Facebook.

"Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces launched 15 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel. Our defenders destroyed six enemy reconnaissance UAVs. Missile and artillery units hit three enemy command posts, two areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, four ammunition depots, two anti-aircraft missile systems, and four electronic warfare stations," the report reads.

Yesterday at night, the enemy used Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles and Shahed Iranian-made combat drones. The forces and means of the air commands, in cooperation with the air defense units of other components of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, destroyed four out of six Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and six out of eight Shahed UAVs.

In total, over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 14 missile strikes, 40 airstrikes, 51 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements. Unfortunately, civilians were killed and injured; private houses, educational institutions, and other civilian and administrative infrastructure objects were damaged.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on attempts to completely occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Over the past day, 29 combat engagements took place.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, an enemy reconnaissance and sabotage group made an unsuccessful attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine in the area of Zelene settlement in Kharkiv region. The invaders also launched missile strikes on the areas of Vovchansk, Chuhuiv; airstrikes – Ivashky, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche in Kharkiv region. Karpovychi in Chernihiv region; Znob-Novhorodske, Brusky, Atynske, Basivka, Yunakivka, Sadky, Myropillia, Turya, Hrabovske, Oleksandrivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Shevchenkove in Sumy region; Ivashky, Udy, Chervona Zoria, Hoptivka, Krasne, Zelene, Starytsia, Okhirtseve, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Karayichne, Budarky, Chuhunivka in Kharkiv region came under enemy mortar and artillery fire.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Novoselivske, Luhansk region. An airstrike was launched near Serhiyivka in Donetsk region. Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dovhenke, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabayivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region; Novoselivske in Luhansk region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region. Makiyivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Verkhniokamyanske, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy went on the offensive towards Ivanivske, had no success. Airstrikes were launched on the areas of Vasiutynske, Toretsk, and Pivnichne. The areas of settlements of Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Predtechyne, Bila Hora, Dyliyivka, and New York in Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In Avdiyivka direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. An airstrike was launched in Avdiyivka area. The areas of Avdiyivka, Pervomayske, and Karlivka settlements in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In Maryinka direction, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of Maryinka town. At the same time, the enemy launched an airstrike on this settlement. Hostre, Maryinka, Pobieda in Donetsk region also came under artillery fire.

In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy shelled Vuhledar, Prechystivka, and Novoukrayinka in Donetsk region.

The enemy continues to hold the defense in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. Airstrikes were launched near Novopil in Donetsk region; Olhivske in Zaporizhzhia region; Beryslav and Vesele in Kherson region. Vilne Pole, Zelene Pole, Novopil, Temyrivka in Donetsk region; Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriyivka, Stepove, Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Kozatske, Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Kherson in Kherson region came under artillery fire.
