Enemy shells six settlements in Donetsk region, casualties reported – police

On March 31, Russian troops attacked six settlements in Donetsk region, casualties were reported.

According to the National Police communications department in Donetsk region, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Druzhkivka, Velyka Novosilka, Karlivka, and Vremivka came under attack.

Russian troops used aircraft, Grad and Smerch MLRS, artillery, and tanks.

Twelve civilian objects were destroyed and damaged - six residential buildings, a library, a vocational school, an administrative building, shops, and a gas pipeline.

Russian troops shelled Avdiivka using aviation and artillery. A private house was hit, two civilians were killed, including a baby born in 2022. Two more civilians were injured.

The invaders attacked Druzhkivka with Smerch MLRS. Four apartment blocks and objects of social infrastructure were destroyed, one person was injured.

Law enforcers registered 22 violations of laws and customs of war by Russian troops. The police and the Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

It is noted that police officers helped 467 more people to evacuate. Since the beginning of mandatory evacuation, more than 58,180 people, including 7,242 children and 2,622 people with disabilities, have left the region.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Russian troops killed two residents of Donetsk region, and injured three more on March 31.
