The eOselia affordable mortgage program has been expanded to include mobilized Ukrainians, but the main challenge remains meeting strong demand with sufficient resources.

Yevhen Metsger, Chairman of the Board of PrJSC Ukrainian Financial Housing Company (Ukrfinzhytlo), emphasized this in comments to Ukrinform.

“We have taken into account the role of mobilized citizens, since earlier the program was focused on those who dedicated themselves to serving the state, including military personnel, doctors, and teachers. After four years of full-scale invasion, mobilized soldiers are essentially no different from contract servicemen. At present, we are speaking more about a shortage of opportunities, as we are seeking funds to cover the high level of interest,” Metsger said.

He added that demand for the program remains consistently strong and virtually unlimited, while the key challenge is finding resources to meet it. In response, the program is being further adapted as a social tool, including narrowing parameters for housing size to support a larger number of families.

Work is also underway to expand the program together with international partners, which may involve new conditions and broader opportunities for different categories of citizens.

As reported earlier, more than 24,000 Ukrainian families have purchased housing under the eOselia affordable mortgage program, with total investment in housing exceeding UAH 42.8 billion.
