Ukraine preparing “Energy Ramstein” meeting – PM Svyrydenko
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“We are preparing with our partners to hold an ‘Energy Ramstein’ meeting in the G7+ format,” the statement said.
As the head of government noted, Denmark has already announced a contribution of more than €20 million to support Ukraine’s energy system. These funds will be directed to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to protect energy facilities and provide urgent assistance for rapid recovery.
In addition, Japan is preparing a substantial package of energy equipment for Ukraine.
As reported, the Danish government is allocating an additional 150 million Danish kroner (€20 million) to support Ukraine’s energy system amid Russian strikes on the country’s energy sector.
The support includes 80 million Danish kroner for the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, which coordinates the procurement of energy equipment; 30 million Danish kroner through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Ukraine and Eastern Europe for equipment to protect energy facilities; and 40 million Danish kroner through partners assessed as capable of delivering emergency assistance to Ukraine as quickly as possible.
