Ukrainians have already spent UAH 11.3 billion under the "Winter Support" program, with the largest share going toward utility bills.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Citizens are actively using the 'one thousand hryvnias' and have already spent UAH 11.3 billion in assistance. Most often, the funds are used to pay utility bills – about 80% of total spending. Other popular categories include food, medicines, and donations to the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the statement said.

In total, 17.8 million Ukrainians have applied for and received the assistance, including 3.5 million children. All payments under this program have now been completed in full. The funds can be used until June 30, 2026.

At the same time, payments of UAH 6,500 for vulnerable population groups are continuing. So far, 374,367 people have received them, and from this amount citizens have spent UAH 1.1 billion – mainly on clothing for adults and children, as well as footwear.

Svyrydenko said that other state winter support programs are also operating in parallel in Ukraine, including targeted assistance for residents of frontline areas and internally displaced persons. These include payments for firewood, compensation for 100 kWh of electricity per person per month during the cold season, as well as energy-efficiency support programs for businesses, private homes, and homeowners associations.
