NBU board, IMF chief discuss new program for Ukraine
That is according to the NBU's press service, Ukrinform reports.
The parties discussed the parameters of the new four-year program within the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and the importance of its approval by the IMF Executive Board.
NBU representatives spoke about the current macroeconomic situation and forecasts, the state of the financial sector, and priorities for 2026.
The NBU governor noted that many topics were discussed during the meeting, as well as the situation in the country and the consequences of the Russian attacks.
Pyshnyy stressed that interaction with the IMF had always had an anchoring effect for Ukraine, calling it the keystone on which the entire structure of international assistance rests.
"We will continue to do everything necessary to ensure that this keystone remains the fundamental foundation of the structure. A huge support in this is the fact that the IMF team deeply understands the essence of the processes taking place in Ukraine, their nature and possible consequences, and most importantly, is working on a program of actions that support our resilience on the path to victory," Pyshnyy said.
The IMF delegation included Executive Director Jeroen Clicq, Alternative Executive Director Vladyslav Rashkovan, Chief of Staff of the Managing Director Andreas Bauer, Director of the European Department Alfred Kammer, and IMF Resident Representative for Ukraine Priscilla Toffano.
