Over 99% of boiler houses operating in Ukraine – Regional Development Ministry

As of December 3, more than 99% of boiler houses across Ukraine are operational, and 99% of the housing stock is connected to heating, according to Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development Kostiantyn Kovalchuk.

“Overall, the heating season has been fully launched. As of today, more than 99% of boiler houses are in operation,” Kovalchuk announced at a briefing at Ukrinform.

He specified that 99.7% of social facilities and 99% of residential buildings nationwide are connected to heating.

The heating season has also started in all frontline regions, where preparations focused on ensuring alternative generation for critical and social infrastructure.

Kovalchuk added that in Kryvyi Rih, more than 100 km of heating networks were replaced ahead of the season, enabling timely launch. Currently, 99.1% of buildings in the city are supplied with heat.

As reported earlier, Naftogaz Group has imported roughly 4.4 billion cubic meters of gas since May 2025 to prepare for the heating season, and expects total imports to surpass 5 billion cubic meters by year‑end.
