Users in three regions left without power due to Russian strikes – Ukrenergo

As of the morning of October 29, users in three regions remain without electricity due to Russian attacks. Scheduled power outages are in effect in parts of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the National Power Company Ukrenergo on Facebook.

“As a result of Russian strikes on energy facilities, consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions are without power as of this morning. Emergency repair and restoration work is ongoing in all regions affected by the attacks. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore the operation of damaged equipment as quickly as possible,” the statement reads.

Ukrenergo reminds that due to the consequences of previous strikes, scheduled hourly outages have been introduced in several regions from 08:00 to 22:00, ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 rotation groups. In addition, in those same regions where hourly outage schedules are in effect, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers are being applied from 07:00 to 22:00.

Electricity consumption has been rising for the second consecutive day, and as of 6:30 a.m. Wednesday was 2.4% higher than the previous day’s level. The increase is attributed to cloudy weather in most regions — reducing the efficiency of household solar power stations — and lower temperatures in parts of Ukraine.

“The need for careful energy consumption remains. If you currently have electricity, please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances until 22:00,” Ukrenergo emphasized.

As reported earlier, the National Power Company Ukrenergo has accumulated a stockpile of repair equipment three times greater than required by standards to ensure stable operation during the heating season.
