The Head of the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing, and Management of Assets (ARMA), Olena Duma, and the Vice President of the Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Markus Čupek, have signed a Cooperation Agreement between the two institutions.

This was reported by ARMA’s press service, according to Ukrinform.

“The document is aimed at developing systematic cooperation in the field of returning seized assets. Special attention is given to collaboration on identifying and recovering Russian assets located in the territory of the Czech Republic,” the statement reads.

Olena Duma discussed the agency’s achievements and the challenges ARMA faces in the asset search and management sphere.

“We see the real results of ARMA's work and are ready to support the Agency, as this is a way to help Ukraine by turning enemy assets against the enemy. We are prepared to assist in the return of Russian seized assets located in the Czech Republic,” said Michaela Machařík, President of the Czech-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

As Ukrinform previously reported, ARMA will cooperate with the Bulgarian Commission for the Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property.

At the request of law enforcement agencies, ARMA has identified and located over 100 billion USD in assets abroad. Each agreement signed with international partners is a tangible step toward the return and effective use of these assets for the benefit of Ukraine.
